Beginning clarinet students will learn the fundamentals of music such as pitch, rhythm, intonation, and terminology. Assembly and care of the clarinet, ligature, reed placement, and maintenance are covered with all beginning students. Beginning students will also learn tone production, proper embouchure, breath control, phrasing and fingerings leading to simple melodies.
