Potomac Community Welcomes the International School of Music to their neighborhood with open arms!
Our Grand Opening of our new Potomac Location at Cabin John Mall was a HUGE HIT! Over 300 people attended the event, joining the support of Rockville Chamber of Commerce, and Montgomery County Council Member Andrew M. Friedson, who gave a warm welcome speech.
Our award-wining faculty provided music lesson demonstrations via our famous Instrumental Petting Zoo, so students could explore what it feels like to hold or play a variety of instruments including violin, cello, flute, saxophone, clarinet, harp, piano, drums and more! Our toddlers and preschoolers had tons of fun dancing to kids’ tunes and playing games with Miss Cara while learning the elementary blocks of music in our Early Childhood Music classroom.
Families also had the opportunity to explore our beautiful, new, custom-designed 5,300 square foot Potomac facility that houses thirty sound-proofed private music studios. A hilarious and fun magician strolled the corridors, entertaining guests throughout the facility, and students of all ages even got their faces painted! One of our very talented guitar teachers, Matt, serenaded guests with beautiful jazz music while they ate and drank delicious snacks and beverages in the lobby. Few lucky winners received our grand opening raffle prizes such as one year of free lessons, Yamaha digital piano, acoustic guitar and $100 Amazon gift card!
