What We’re Doing to Help Keep You Safe**

The safety of our students, teachers and staff is what’s most important. In accordance with governmental orders and CDC guidelines, ISM is taking extra precautions to help our communities stay safe and healthy. This includes extensive cleaning protocols and social distancing practices within our schools.  Each of us will play an important role in making your school a safe experience for us all.

Cleaning Protocols and Sanitization Process

We continue to follow stringent sanitation protocols for proper disinfection throughout operational hours and have added new deep cleaning, overnight procedures in our facilities to achieve a greater level of cleanliness. We will also be using nanoseptic self-cleaning technology for high traffic touchpoints surfaces, plexiglas barriers, alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations throughout the school and new hospital grade air filters with a MERV rating of 13.

Social Distancing—Touchless Interaction –Digital Communication

We are taking careful actions to facilitate social distancing. You will notice increased spacing between instruments and our lobby/waiting area will be closed to allow for appropriate social distancing.  ISM will require lesson reservations and schedules will be adjusted to be consistent with governmental orders and guidelines.  Additionally, we are limiting in-person contact with clients by facilitating contactless registrations electronically, processing payments online and conducting communication by phone, email and text as much as possible during this outbreak.

Safety Measures at the School

As we navigate through the reopening of our locations, there will be new procedures to expect during each phase.  Amenities and programming will be consistent with governmental orders and guidelines, and we will require reservations for all students in order to enforce social distancing.  Additionally, we will continue to teach Early Childhood classes, Ensembles and Group Make ups online until it is safe to resume to conduct them in-person.

What you can do? Protect Yourself and Others

Nothing is more important than keeping ourselves, our friends, families and communities healthy.  While at the school, please follow the current CDC guidelines about how to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus:

  • Wash your hands vigorously and frequently
  • Use a hand sanitizer that’s at least 60% alcohol
  • Keep 6 feet apart from other people
  • Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Wear mask or face covering (complimentary masks are available at the front desk)
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick
  • Please perform a temperature check at home before coming to the school
  • We are asking parents to wait outside of ISM premises after dropping off/picking up their child/ren in order to ensure safe social distancing

Stay Home if You are Sick

Studies suggest that COVID-19 may be spread by people who are asymptomatic. If you have a fever, a cough, shortness of breath, don’t take a chance—stay home. We can always offer online lessons via Zoom or Skype.
