The International School of Music brings together a community of dedicated, experienced, world-class faculty that offers personalized lessons both in-person and online! With lessons offered in piano, guitar, voice, violin, viola, cello, flute, drums, saxophone, clarinet, harp, recorder, trumpet, trombone, bassoon, early childhood music classes, and performances, there is something for everyone! With lessons both online and available at our two locations, in Bethesda and Potomac, Maryland, we can find the right lesson time and teachers for our students!
Back in March, at the start of COVID-19 pandemic, The International School of Music made the quick transition to virtual music learning to ensure continued music education for ISM students. Online music lessons offer many benefits to our students, especially in times where normalcy is so necessary for our kids. Regular weekly lessons help promote consistency in our student’s lives, which is so important in music education. In addition, they also allow for more time to focus on core musical skills, while keeping our kids engaged, active, and far from bored this summer, while other activities may still be cancelled.
Of the many benefits of virtual music learning, The International School of Music has been very lucky to share over 200 of our International School of Music student’s progress and talents over the last few months through virtual recitals hosted on our Facebook pages. Showcasing these amazing students online was such a fantastic treat, to not only hear and see their musical performances, but to see how far they’ve come since transitioning lessons to online. ISM students and teachers have proven the many benefits of online lessons through these recitals!
With the recent lifted restrictions in Montgomery County, Maryland, we are excited to announce that we re-opened our doors to in-person lessons while following the CDC, local, and state guidelines. We are very excited to see all your wonderful faces again as we gradually re-open! We continue to adapt to the present situations and guidelines, in order to ensure families have fun activities, access to continued music education, and more normalcy this summer.
